[edit] Starting Out

I thought I'd write a guide for people who are just beginning this game and don't know where to start.

  • First, when you start you will see your inventory up in the top right corner; you will have a coat (armor) and 2 bottles (weapons). You can equip up to 2 weapons and 2 misc items (more about this later on).
  • If you click Main Page (top right corner) you will see that you have 5 unspent points. Click on the flashing link to spend your points. You will get new points to spend every time you level up. If you don't know what to spend your points on, I suggest one point per stat.
  • When you first start you will have some turns. Turns are used to attack and hunt; attacking and hunting give you experience which is used to level you up. Turns are also used to work; working gets you credits. Credits are used to hunt and to buy items (Weapons, armor, medical items etc.)

[edit] Working

When you first start, go to "job center" (bottom left corner under quick links) after that click on "X-Corp : Underground Mines ". To do this job, you must be alive. When you click on that job, you then have to choose the number of times you want to work. It costs 500 turns for 1 mining job, and you can do a max of 5 jobs at once. This is the easiest way of getting credits on the game. If you want to work but you are not alive, you can either vote for the game and get a free revive (bottom right corner) or go to the hospital and buy a revive (8 credits), but keep in mind that the hospital is closed from 9am/pm - 12am/pm. When you get a revive kit it goes into your inventory, go in your inventory, click on the revive kit and click "use item" to be revived, you will then be able to work.

The X-Corp : Underground Mines is the highest paying job in the long run; there is also a 10% chance you will get injured while working, but it is worth it when you are getting 200 c's for a set of 5 jobs.

[edit] Hospital

While the hospital is open most of the day/night, it is closed at 9am-Noon and 9pm-Midnight everyday (Server time, top right corner). When the hospital is opened, you can buy healing items or pay for a full heal plus protection time. When you are protected, it means that nobody can attack you. Protection time lasts for 6 minutes or 3 kills, whichever comes first. Hunting does not count as a kill, and you can still be killed in self-defense by anyone you attack.

[edit] Attacking(PvP)

Once you have learned how to use the job center, you will then have to learn how to attack players (Player vs Player). When you are alive, go to player search (bottom left corner under quick links). Because you're level one, it would be a good idea to attack level ones. In player search under the column "Player level", put in "1" to "1". Then under "player HP" put in "10" to "10". If you are attacking someone with a lot of HP, the attack can go on for a long time and you will waste turns. After you have put these in, click the box "Display attackable Only" then press search. The first 10 matches will then appear, click attack, attack once again, and then the battle will begin. Each attack takes 5 turns off the ones you have. Keep attacking until you have injured your opponent, or they have injured you, or you have run out of turns.

For the first few levels, attacking will be very boring, so bear with it, as it 'does get more fun later. When you reach different levels, there are new items for you to buy and use. They can be found in Sector 2 (bottom of the page) I suggest that you keep your 2 bottles and coat until level 5. When you level to level 2 go back to main page and spend your 3 stat points. Yet again, where to put them is up to you; try keeping your stats even until you figure out what you like more. Keep attacking level 1's and 2 until you hit level 5, if you keep attacking high levels as a low level, you won't kill as many people and you'll take longer to level.

[edit] Hunting(Npcs)

Hunting is found on the top right corner. With hunting, you can get experience whenever you want (as long as you are alive and have the money to spend on it). When you hunt, there is also a chance that an item will drop; sometimes the item is just a med kit, or a revive kit, but sometimes it can be a special item like a police shield or knuckle duster. Every hunting group has a certain drop except for the rats.

There are also alot of negatives about hunting. Unlike attacking(pvp), hunting costs credits. Every time you hunt, you pay a fee. If you get killed while hunting, you still lose those credits.

[edit] How to buy items

To buy weapons and armor, you must go to sector 2 (bottom of the page) after you go click there you will see this:

Shopping District Armors 'R Us (To buy your armor at) Weapons Point (To buy melee weapons such as the crowbar and the sword)

Import / Export Guns Shipping (To buy guns like the shotgun, laser-sighted pistol and plasma rifle)

[edit] Level weapon guide

A lot of players have trouble deciding weapons they should use at what level; here is one suggestion on what equipment will save you credits. You do not have to follow this method; it is just one strategy of many:

level 1-5 (Coat, 2 bottles)

level 5-8 (Coat, 1 L.pistol, 1 Crowbar)

level 8-10 (Armored Jacket, 1 L. pistol, 1 Crowbar)

level 10-15 (Armored Jacket, 1 Crowbar, 1 Shotgun)

level 15-22 (Armored Jacket, 2 Grenades)

level 22-25 (Samurai Armor, 2 Grenades)

level 25-30 (Samurai Armor, 1 Plasma Rifle, 1 Sword)

level 30 (Pheonix Shell, 1 Plasma Rifle, 1 Sword)

Knowing what your next major purchases will be can help you plan out spending in the long run.
